Martello Tower
Code: lka131   Media: Watercolour
Artist: Unknown   Nationality: British

A lovely impressionist watercolour sketch of sailing boats on the beach with a Martello Tower, possibly Seaford looking across to Newhaven, but this is purley conjecture. Looks every bit the early English Impressionist paiting and would look superb in the right frame painted within the last 50 years I would guess. Unsigned 11.75 by 6.5 inches or 30cm by 17cm if you prefer. One of many watercolours drawings acquired in a single folder. They are all well painted in an impressionistic style but unfortunately I have been unable to identify the artist or the date, possibly 1930s through to present day.

Housed in a gilt frame with gilt slips. size, 52cm x 62cm...
